Those who follow news from the solar industry, must have noticed the consistent growth of Growatt over the last few years. We have also reported about this earlier in our blog articles. Over the course of past 16 years, Growatt has supplied over 12GW of inverters globally. They have transitioned from a budget moniker to that of a premium brand while maintaining the same price-to-performance ratio.
In early March 2020, Growatt was awarded the Top PV inverter brand seal in Australia and Netherlands. This is a validation of their reliability, customer satisfaction, popularity and brand recognition in these countries. The award was given by EuPD Research. In Australia, during 2018, one in 10 rooftop inverters were Growatt. In Netherlands, their inverters are also used in the iChoosr projects. The company is also expanding in Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
In 2019, 2.2 GW rooftop solar added in the Indian residential sector were using Growatt inverters. The company entered India much earlier than it did in European market, and their growth has been consistent ever since. They have 18% market share. In China, they are already among top 3 inverter brands for commercial and residential applications.

The R&D portfolio of the company has also been quite strong recently. During Feb 2020, they released their new single-phase TL-XH series inverters in Australia. The TL-HX series comes in-built with a battery interface, allowing users to connect to a storage system without the requirement of any retrofits. At the same time, they are less costlier than the conventional hybrid inverters. In early 2019, the Max 80kW series became the only inverter in its class to win the “All Quality Matters” award for commercial use category by TÜV Rheinland, Germany.
