Jinko Solar is one of the biggest Tier-1 PV module manufacturer in the world. Founded in 2006, Jinko has an annual capacity of 4GW and offices in over 38 countries. Their PV modules have been used in some of the biggest commercial installations in Australia. In March 2018, they were awarded the “Top Brand PV” seal in Australian, German and Austrian markets.

This award, given by EuPD Research, is based on thousands of survey responses from installers and intermediaries in the residential and commercial solar market. The publicly listed company (NYSE: JKS) has been one of the top selling PV modules in the Australian residential sector since 2016. Further, their R&D department has set multiple module efficiency records at PV CellTech 2018 (Malaysia).
Jinko modules have been used in some of the largest commercial and utility grade projects in Australia. Some of the popular examples being the 24 MW Royalla solar farm, 1.8 MW Yulara Voyages project etc. Earlier this year, Jinko also announced their partnership with Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) on a $29 million PV cell research program. This research is part of a collaborative initiative between Australian National University and University of NSW. Aimed at reducing the cost per watt of solar panels, this R&D program has also attracted some international stakeholders. You can read more about this work here.
